One of our key investments is our advanced Shot Peening System, featuring technology from Surfex-India (Surface Finishing Equipment Co.). The system is equipped with a shot classifier, MagnaValve®, nozzle reciprocation system, and premium AMS 2431/1E steel shot media supplied by Ervin Industries (USA). Key shot peening parameters, including Almen intensity and coverage, are precisely monitored and controlled to ensure consistent process quality.
Capability:
Suitable for both internal and external shot peening.
- Maximum shot peened component length: 250 inches
- Minimum internal diameter (ID): 1.4 inches
- Maximum outside diameter (OD): 12 inches
- Wide range of steel and ceramic shot media available, up to S-930
We have designed and manufactured a variety of dedicated fixtures and custom shot peening nozzle to accommodate different component geometries and customer-specific process requirements.
Our team has extensive experience performing shot peening in accordance with various customer specifications and successfully controlling Almen Intensity A, C, and N, using AMS 2431/1E cast steel shot media such as S780, S330, and S110. Coverage is verified by visual inspection in accordance with applicable specifications.
The shot peening chamber has a working envelope of 1,300 mm (H) × 1,200 mm (W) × 3,500 mm (L) with extension length, allowing us to process long and geometrically complex components.
To protect surfaces that must remain free from shot peening, we utilize flexible masking methods with a variety of masking materials, including silicone rubber, polymer tape, plastic, and rubber, ensuring that designated areas remain free from shot impact and any subsequent damage.
